It's called a limpkin!

I felt like I needed to practice my actual artistic skills as opposed to the general craftiness-type things I've been doing a lot of lately. I'm thinking that maybe someday I'd like to be an illustrator, and my drawing skills are a solid okay. I've seen some excellent, and I mean excellent, art blogs over the past couple of days and have been severely humbled. So, out comes the National Geographic Field Guide for birds of North America! I kind of suck at drawing most things out of my head at this point, so until I become more skilled, I think I'll have to look and draw just to get the correct shapes and proportions, stylizing as I go.
