Thank You Cards and Happy News

Announcement!!! 

Pregnancy: ACHIEVED! I am about 7 weeks along... (Just in case you're just tuning in, we did In-Vitro due to my moderate list of lady-problems) I wanted to do a post real quick, because I have been meaning to announce here, but things have been a little nuts. 

Needless to say, I have A LOT to be thankful for, so I wanted to share these thank you cards I made a while ago. Thank you guys, my readers, for all the love and support :)

 They're all done with stamps from my line at stampotique.com! Anyway, I'm tired-as-flip and I've got a nasty cold, so I'm going to go lay down. Until next time!

Peculiar Monster Card and New UC Challenge

Happy February, friends! This is one of my favorite months...because it means it's gonna be my birthday! But, that's not the thing today... There is a new challenge happening over at Unique Crafters which is "Lace and Fabric"! 

Stamp: Baby Cthulhu by Kira Nichols for Stampotique

For this challenge, I put together a little card/ATC with some lacy background and fabric hills. By the way, just check out that crazy orange printed paper on the very back. I had an appointment 2 hours away in Montgomery, so I went to Joann (we don't have one close-by). I got this big bag of shiny pretty colorful miscellaneous scrap paper from India... I swear, I've been thumbing through the bag non-stop. So pretty.

Leafy Greens and Critters Pop Up

 It's Friday! Today, still trying to get over this blasted cold #4, I played around a little with Distress Stains and my Line Up stamp from Stampotique to cheer me up. I made this pop-up... I don't know whether I'll make it into some kind of card or just leave it on the table to enjoy for a while as-is. (EDIT: I ended up cutting it out and liking it a lot better! It'll stay up on my shelf for a while)

What screams cheeriness and get-well-soon like itty bitty monsters in lacy underwear? 

 I took a scrap of watercolor paper I had, probably about 5x7'', and doodled some leaves on it. Then I used  a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Stains to color the whole sheet right over top of the leaves. This whole process was super fast, it just took a while for the stains to dry.

Then I just cut out all the leaf clusters and cut more little leaves out of the green scraps of stuff that was left over.

 The whole pop up thing is just cutting cubes upon cubes, then gluing the leaves and the critters to the boxes. And yes indeed, it does fold up flat still! Even with that whole forest on it.

I hope everybody has a fantastic weekend. My plans are nothing... I can just relax now!

And also on a proud-of-myself note: I gave myself a haircut yesterday (I used this YouTube video for instruction) and it turned out just super and saved money that I can now blow on more craft supplies.

Haunted Halloween House Card

 It's October 1st! That means a new Challenge at the Unique Crafters Challenge Blog. This month's theme: HALLOWEEN!

 I made this haunted house card using some Stampotique stamps which are perfect for this spooky holiday.

Plus, some crazy bats shooting out of the top with wire, because what's a haunted house without bats?

Monster Line Up Card

 Wheeeeweee! This weekend was been crazy-go-nuts! My wicked witch bookmarks were featured on the Reader's Nook facebook page on Friday morning which resulted in an excellent number of sales... So I've spent most of the weekend busting my booty filling orders. I am tired, but happy and grateful for the business :) And I've gotten SO GOOD at making bookmarks! Haha!

So the crafting plans I had for this weekend got put on hold, and I have to post this card that you may have already seen if you did the last Stampotique Blog Hop. I haven't shared this card here, yet, though. So I feel okay about posting it now. I needed to do a little bloggage tonight and realx and plot my crafting mischief for this upcoming week.

So I really like this card, and this new stamp! And I can't get enough of this glitter paper (the sparkly gray burst shapes coming from the center in the background. It's American Crafts glitter paper. I was sent a little 6x6'' sample of it by Unique Crafters, went loco over it, then searched and found more on clearance at hsn.com. Score.

Anyhoo, I had a pretty great weekend. I hope you did, too.

PS. I really, really, really appreciate you lovelies who read my blog and look at my stuff and have such kind things to say. I love you guys, am grateful, and I don't think I say it enough.

Halloween Monster ATCs

Stamp: Goat Monster #4019 by Kira Nichols for Stampotique

Ooooooh, Halloween is coming!!! I know, I know, it's early, but I can start the crafting fun.  I made a set of Halloween themed ATCs using various monster stamps from my line over at Stampotique. All of them have Owl Tree #4018 as part of the back ground. Whats fun with that stamp, is you can flip it over, and BOOM. The owls are bats. Spooky, huh?

I think this is one of my favorite new stamps... I've been using it on my fragile packages and writing beneath it, "Handle with care" :)

September Art Calendar

 It's September, and that means I can officially start getting excited for fall and winter holidays :) I chose a darker color for this month, since the days will start getting shorter, and this color will start getting me in an Autumnish mood.

 This owl was clipped from a Harry Potter daily calendar page that my friend Audio sent me. Whenever I see a picture of a hunting bird with talons out-stretched, it makes me think, "TICKLE FIGHT!" Hee hee!

Well, happy September, folks :) I hope it's full of fall magic and fun. Eeee, I'm excited for Halloween Crafts!!!!

Amazon Parrot Card and Pug Happy Birthday

 This card that I made is pretty versatile, since "squawk" can be translated into so many different sentiments :) Thanks, hello, thinking of you, sorry, you name it, it's squawk. I made this little card using Amazon from Stampotique.

I had to add a little bit of glitter glue, I just couldn't resist.

And I made this birthday card a while ago, too using Floating Dog from my stampotique line :) Add a hat, boom, he's festive. Happy Monday!

Alice in Wonderland Card

I made a card! 

Isn't this Alice stamp so flippin' great? I love it. I adore it. And I put some glitter glue on it after coloring it with watercolors. Janet Klein has a whole set of various Alice in Wonderland stamps available from Stampotique and they're all just awesome. I got some in the mail today and I couldn't resist playing, even though I've got about 3,000 things to do before the weekend.

 I used some paper flowers and glitter tape to embellish. You can see the glue's still a little bit wet. Oh well, I got excited. I hope everybody is having a splendid week so far and is enjoying summer as much as possible.

I made a couple of cards for the young women at church to sign for a mother and daughter that are moving away to Oregon this week. I'm gonna miss them! I am just a teensy bit jealous they are moving back to the Pacific Northwest (home!) and I did a fair bit of sulking this weekend. Oh, Alabama, there is nothing wrong with you, but you're not my favorite. 

Oh well, life is good anyway. Happy Monday to you all.
