Big ol' Watercolored Fish

Went over to my good friend Sarah's today and did some craftin' and paintin'! We painted some fish for an under the sea display at the local library and these are the two fishies I came up with. They're the biggest things I've painted in a long time! About 12 inches long! My favorite is the blue one up top, but I'm at my wits end trying to photograph my paintings correctly. This pic is a scan, which I think washes a lot of the color out... I need to fiddle with the settings or something. Scanning makes the whites very white, but the colors get very washed out, especially greens. Meh. Happy Tuesday to you.

Fuzzy Plump Yeti Plush

Here is one of my favorite plush creations EVAR! He's found a happy home with my good crafty pal Alexz, so I get to post him now. He's a little fatty yeti sewn from terry cloth and has a handstitched angora sweater face.

The terry cloth has a night stretch to it, so Yeti turned out real plump and round. Believe it or not, I used the same pattern for this hockey puck-esque pin cushion, but the stretchy material made a world of difference. It took a LOT of pinning and careful sewing, believe you me. Zippered Pouch Frenzy

Meh, so this isn't exactly a frenzy. I had to take it easy today, so I made three zippered pouches. Two of which are for swaps and you'll get to see them later. I've had this fish fabric laying around for a while, and it's super cute, so why not make a pouch? It's nice and sturdy, because I used some interfacing :)

It's fully lined with a beaded zipper pull, woo hoo! I made it using this AWESOME tutorial from Twelve22.
