It's September, and that means I can officially start getting excited for fall and winter holidays :) I chose a darker color for this month, since the days will start getting shorter, and this color will start getting me in an Autumnish mood.
This owl was clipped from a Harry Potter daily calendar page that my friend Audio sent me. Whenever I see a picture of a hunting bird with talons out-stretched, it makes me think, "TICKLE FIGHT!" Hee hee!
Well, happy September, folks :) I hope it's full of fall magic and fun. Eeee, I'm excited for Halloween Crafts!!!!

August! Continuing the Art Calendar!
I'm 8 days late on my August calendar page, but I say better late than never when it comes to these... I can't give up now! I'll say it again: I can't believe I've stuck with it ALL YEAR :) I'm quite proud of myself...
For this month, I needed something little because of the tiny space I had for a focal point, and colorful to match the background. I picked this wee bird from the Parrots Collage Sheet.
Aaaaand lastly, I had to share the collage of all 8 months so far :) To see more calendar page delightfulness, check out the challenge at the Kathryn Wheel! Happy Wednesday to you all.

July Art Calendar Page
I am still a little bit incredulous that I have actually been keeping up with my daily calendar journaling for the entire year! Here is July's page for the Kathryn Wheel challenge. I'm also pretty proud of myself that I'm actually posting early this month! No catching up for me, this time.
I drew and watercolored this chubby kitty, recently having been hypnotized and inspired by Snoopy the Exotic Shorthair. I couldn't stop looking at this cat... He is like a cartoon... A puffy, adorable, real cartoon. I'm a bird person, but if I ever got a cat, I'd want it to look just like this one.
And here is a collection of all my pages so far to show you all the different colors of my calendar! February shows twice, but you get the idea.
Oh meow meow meow. This is the painting before I cut him out for my calendar page.
Happy Saturday! I hope you're all having a beautiful weekend.
June Calendar Page
Here is my art calendar/journal page for the month of June! (the Kathryn Wheel Calendar-Along. So cool.) Better late than never, right? I actually remembered and started to make this page at the end of May, but I couldn't work up the spirit to finish it until last night. I usually like to do lots of different papers for the squares, but my laziness got the best of me, and I just cut squares from 2 kinds of paper. It looks fine. Meh.
And this month's calendar focal point is a pink flamingo! That just screams summer, doesn't it? And as you can see, I caught up on filling in days, except last Friday. I can't remember anything I did on Friday, most likely I sat watching shows all day long. I've had a lot of lazy days recently.
...And just for fun, here's all 6 of this year's pages. Yes, I have kept up with the journaling, too! I think this is going to be the longest continuous journal writing I'll ever do in my life.
Anyway, I hope everybody had a great week! Enjoy the weekend :)
May Calendar Page
It's that time again, the beginning of a new month, and that means another calendar page! I wanted to go with something lively and cheerful, so I picked yellow this month. The page looks much better in person. I couldn't get the colors in my photo right, but you get the general idea.
I used Wolfie King on this spread because he looks magnificent and powerful :) Can you tell that I'd like an energetic month? I started doing Zumba, and it's my third week! I feel GOOD. All I want to do is shake it!

Happy May Day to you!
And here's a shot of the past four months of calendar spreads because it's colorful.

Art Calendar Journaling! Is it April already?!
This year has been whizzing by already! It's April, so that means another Kathryn Wheel Art Calendar Page.
The cow is cut from a cute old kid's book called The Peppermint Fence. Made me lol, look at that fly buzzing around its behind :)
And yes, I have been filling in each day as I go! Here's a shot of all 4 months... My goal is a very colorful calendar come December. Happy Thursday, happy April, friends.
March Art Calendar Page
Border stamp: "Hanging Hearts" by Daniel Torrente for Stampotique
I had to pop this post in real quick, since it's already March 10th! I had this page done pretty early for the Kathryn Wheel challenge, but didn't get around to posting it! So here's my March page. I did a good job filling in February, too. Again, I'm pretty proud that I've been keeping up!
The weather is starting to be pretty nice, and there was a frog that fell out of our BBQ cover last week, sooo this frog stamp from my collection was pretty fitting.
Happy March, friends. Now I'm really going to go rest....
Art Calendar Journaling: FEB!
It's mah birthday month! :) I just had to share my February calendar page. I'm joining in on the Kathryn Wheel challenge, and am so proud to say I've stuck to it :)
And as proof, here's January all filled in. Have a fabulous weekend, everyone!PS. That giveaway is still happening... Enter if you haven't already. :D
Happy New Year!
Only a few more minutes until 2012! This year was a pretty good year. I've got some crafty resolutions for the New Year. The first is to participate in the 50 projects in 2012 craftalong over at Craftster.org, the second is to learn pottery, and the third is to art-calendar-along with Kate over at the Kathryn Wheel. She does some amazing art journal spreads and among my favorites are her art calendar pages. So this year, I plan to make an art calendar page for each month and journal a square a day as I go. At the end of the year, I'll bind them all together into a year-book :) This one is the first! I might change the size, though. Kate's are so roomy and delightful with lots of space for embellishments around the edges.
So how about you? Any crafty resolutions?!
PS. Funny: A squirrel fell down my chimney into my fireplace a few days ago, I actually called the police because I kept hearing sounds and thought there was someone in my house when I was home alone. Tink kept sniffing the fireplace today, so Bobby opened it up and there was a squirrel in there. We let it escape out the back door, and I'm sure he was glad to be OUT!
