Sketchbook Project: It's Raining Dogs and Cats!
I am so excited to tell you guys that I'm participating in this year's Sketchbook Project put on by Art House Co-Op in New York City! It's basically an exhibition of thousands of sketchbooks completed by artists from around the world! (To learn more about it, go to the official website here.) There are lots of different themes to choose from, and I chose the theme "It's Raining Dogs and Cats" for my book, because it was the closest thing to an animal-related theme, and you all know how I love creatures... This is my first page, a kitty in a rain drop. There are 80 pages in my book, so I'm going to need to hustle to fill it up! Anyway, I hope you guys are in the mood to see some art journaling, because there's bound to be a lot of that between now and January :) Happy Wednesday!

Kira, what kind of sketchbook are you using? Also, what kind of paper do you use for your watercolor inchies and ATC's???
THAT is adorable! What a great start :)
oh my! That sounds like so much fun. I want to do that... Something like that would actually give me a reason to want to draw more. And there are a couple of themes that are catching my attention. I might sigh up after payday :)
Hey Deb! The sketchbook is a moleskine notebook. The paper in it is really thin, so I'll be gluing 2 pages together from now on. Lately, I've been using Canson 90 lb cold pressed cotton watercolor paper for my inchies and ATCs, then backing them up with old cereal boxes to make them nice and thick!
I'm so excited to see all the pages you come up with! And I love his socks!
What a beautiful thing to do! Yours is so Artsy-cute! I look forward to your future posts!
Awww the cat taking his fave things awww!
