I can't stop making journals... The cover for this one is another old recycled cover from an RD condensed book. Before adding all the embellishments, I did a light wash of magenta india ink over a very green and white pattern... I wanted less contrast, so the ink was a good way to tone things down.
The quote is from Elder Joseph B Wirthlin: "Kindness is the essence of greatness." This is one of my friend's favorite quotes! And it kiiiiinda fits with the owls sharing that mouse... The image is cut out of an old children's book.I used lots of various paints and embellishments to decorate. Mostly craft acrylics, acrylic inks, etc. Then antique stamps, gems, novelty yarns, etc. I really liked the way it turned out and its new owner was happy with it, too :) I hope everyone had a magnificent weekend!!!

Super cute! I have been bitten by the journal bug again too!
Hi Kira, love your journal page.
Me encanta tu libreta, es una explosión de colorido y las frases en degradación de color me gusta mucho, buen trabajo, saludos.
Adorable! Your work is always so fantastically vibrant :)
just beautiful...
Very cool! Love your details and the phrase!
We have more in common than I thought! Birds, and a quote by Elder Wirthlin? This journal is perfection!
Ha, didn't notice the owls sharing a mouse at first glance--appropriate! You are soooo talented! Thanks for sharing your gifts with the world :) The new owner of that journal is one lucky person!
