This is a postcard I made for my crafty pal Audrey, because it looks just like her! The background was done with acrylic inks, canned air, bubble wrap and a bird stamp. The girl was cut & pasted from a children's encyclopedia, then I drew on the trademark glasses.

Awesome! What a perfect picture of Audrey! At first I thought the glasses were already on there too, until I read that you added them. That would have been too weird. lol! I love it!
This is adorable! I'm a dork, but I know the picture of the girl is from the paper craft section of ChildCraft's Make and Do book which is number 11 in the series. That was my craft bible growing up. :) What an awesome postcard and you're also a pretty good with the paper. ;)
YES! It so is from that book!!! It's totally awesome that you recognized it! Some great stuff in there, I tell you what :)
how do you use canned air?
It's super FUN! You drop a little ink onto the page, then blast it with the canned air. The ink branches out and makes other cool designs.
I still have that book! I love flipping through it! I remember making one of the costumes from a pillowcase and my mom wanting to kill me for cutting up a good pillowcase. :)
