My parents gave Kitty to me for Christmas when I was 13, and we grew up together. She was really feisty and liked to bite. She didn't bite me because I knew her so well and understood her. One of her favorite things to do was shred paper and a lot of my homework in high school was handed in with Kitty bitemarks all along the edges because she would hang out with me when I did my homework. She was really curious and loved finding little nooks to climb into, and especially drawers and socks. She laid a lot of eggs and when she would lay an egg, I'd call her a big fat hen. She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. Every night when I turned off the lights, she made a hooting whistle sound to say "goodnight." I think that's what I'll miss the most, is her saying goodnight to me every night. She was a good bird.
My friends and I made this video featuring Kitty for a project in high school. I'm going to miss her so much!

I'm really sorry about your bird. I know what it's like to lose a pet, there's not much anyone can say to make things better, just keep your chin up!
