I participate in an ongoing ATC swap on craftster.org (my web-addiction), where there is a chain of people, sending ATCs of particular themes. I don't really explain it well, but it's MAD FUN (Here is a link to the September Round if you want to join!)
Anyways, I claimed a marmoset theme because I couldn't resist. Marmosets are teeny tiny monkeys that are sooooo cute! For this ATC, I wanted to paint a little marmoset face. After sketching the face, I painted the background/base with my watercolors....Then I added the detail features and fur with black and white acrylic ink and a quill (whenever I use a quill, I feel so delightfully Harry Potter-ish)
Then I tore out the face, edged it with a grass-green inkpad & slapped it into some cool paper and an ATC base, then edged it with the black inkpad. I just sent this out in the mail today, so hopefully its new owner doesn't peek at my blog and ruin her surprise. Oh well if she does!

Kiwi, I freaked out. I thought it looked like your finger. I thought, what the heck? Told Dad that your paintings are better.
